Farmhouse of the Palms is a place of singular beauty. A place with over 300 years of history. A house where Portuguese farmers lived for generations, now turned into a sanctuary to receive guests who come to appreciate the tranquility, silence and atmosphere of the Algarve countryside.
Located close to the top of a hill, with magnificent and far-reaching views over the green valleys, Farmhouse of the Palms is without any doubt one of the grandest and most elegant houses in Algarve.
The owners, Frank & Véronique, restored this stunning estate back to its former beauty, with respect for its history while blending a contemporary, rustic style with the traditional Portuguese architecture. The Farmhouse feels as secluded as a small village. The owners wanted to create a curated place, a place of beauty and tranquility but also of natural unpretentiousness. A place where you can be just yourself, a space that offers privacy when you crave for it, a place that soothes the eye with its natural aesthetics. A dream in white, a place of magic.
With only 7 suites the Farmhouse is very intimate and the ideal place for people for whom serenity and privacy are important. In the main house, there are 5 suites, of which 2 are family-suites suited for up to 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. In the former animal stables, next to the central courtyard, there are 2 more suites. All suites are very spacious, almost monastic in their simplicity: white walls, high ceilings and traditional floors from warm handmade terracotta tiles. The decoration is kept very natural and minimal with exquisite wooden furniture made by local craftsmen and small items found on local antique markets. Fresh flowers from our garden also add a touch of nature to your room. Sophisticated simplicity reduced to its purest form.
Centrally located in Algarve and just 15km from Faro and the ocean, Farmhouse of the Palms is a perfect starting point to explore the Algarve and its pretty cities like Tavira, Faro and Loulé, to visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, to go for long walks amid fields of wildflowers and smells of rosemary and lavender, to visit the Ria Formosa with its islands, deserted beaches and pretty flora.
