Country life, better life

Born and raised in the city, you could say I am a city girl. I love spring walks in the center: the people, with their strange walks, their cool looks, alone, in company, a simple walk, an afternoon of shopping, or a few beers in the best bars of Madrid. The city changes, every day, if it rains, if it is sunny, windy and stormy days, each day is different from the previous one. There are days when it is nice to take a walk, there are others when you just want to get home. The city is incredible, everything is fast and dynamic. It makes you feel older, an adult, with a thousand responsibilities, a thousand chores, without stopping from one place to another in the rush hour traffic.

I love the city-life, but I have to say that in my family we have always been very rural. There is nothing I treasure more than spending a quiet weekend in the countryside with my father, disconnecting for the entire weekend, without knowing anything about anyone.

The reality is that I cannot be more passionate about the countryside. Its smells, its colors, the country people, everything is delightful! You even eat differently! Appetizing, quiet meals, eternal after-meals, anecdotes that are repeated. I keep these memories with special affection and homesickness. Brings out the most innocent and childish side of me. I do not stop valuing that kind of life more and more: relaxed or, as I like to say, slower.

More and more of us appreciate and value fleeing the city and wrapping ourselves in a haven of peace and tranquility that only the countryside can give you. A bike ride or a walk, picking blackberries to make homemade jam, enjoying a sunny afternoon near the swamp, having your own organic garden ... Few things can beat this. Because when you wake up, the only and first thing you can see from the windows are trees and wild flora, of all colors and intense tones. And this, you cannot deny me, is to start the day in a different way. It's called quality of life.
