The idyllic Sunyata Hotel is nestled in an isolated hillside at the foot of the sacred Tibetan mountain in Yunnan province. The hotel has taken on the challenge of integrating traditional Tibetan architecture with Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy. Designed by Zhao Yang Architects, the aesthetics respect traditional local architecture, and honor the environment and local culture. Expect genuine Tibetan fireplaces and Buddhist murals.
