Cocolia

On the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, overlooking the ocean and the ancient rock formations of Punta Cometa, Cocolia Hotel offers guests the time and space to disconnect, rest and live in harmony with nature. Surrounded by an environment of cacti, native trees, creepers, and medicinal plants, the hotel is a contrast between symmetry, with the “anarchy” of the wild jungle. Local stone, tropical wood, and cement are the materials that have been used to build all the structures. Clean lines and angles provide smooth geometric shapes in pale earth tones to reflect the changing patterns of light and shadow cast by trees, plants, and vines. Natural art everywhere!

Each of the nine Bungalows has a unique location, carefully chosen for its privacy, the flow of gentle sea breezes, and a breathtaking view of the hills with the vast ocean beyond. Each room reveals magnificent landscapes, with sliding doors in tropical wood, and airy cozy spaces for the ideal Mexican getaway.

Either by boat or from the coast, between the months of November and April, you can see the whales on their migration routes. During the rest of the year, you can also see turtles, dolphins and all kinds of fish in the crystal clear waters of the Pacific. This nature retreat feels like home, enjoying the simple pleasures of life, through a wild but peaceful stay.
