VERDI started in the Colombian mountains in 1995 with Carlos Vera Dieppa, a pioneer in Latin American textile design that worked with the people of Curití, Santander (Colombia), and developed a unique technique of intertwined natural fibers and copper threads that resulted in the first ever VERDI RUG. After his passing in 2010, his son Tomás and his daughter Cristina, not only brought his technique back to life, but went on to create a brand that now lives and breathes a legacy based on both family and traditional Colombian craftsmanship. Last May, Verdi launched their first showroom in Bogotá: an ode to Latin Amercian design. To celebrate, we asked the Verdi team to show us around the city: where to sleep, shop and eat.

Ballen Pellettiere's Ricardo & Carina insider's guide to Bogotá, Colombia

Ballen Pellettiere was founded by Ricardo Ballen back in 2013 straight after he graduated from the IED in Milan. His muse and inspiration is his wife, Carina Ospina, whom he met while they were both studying in Italy.
