Masseria Moroseta in Puglia, Italy
Masseria Moroseta ,the ultimate in laidback luxury, makes us dream with a white stone farmhouse with views across the olive trees to the sea. The designer, Andrew Trotter (also owner of OpenHouse magazine), draws inspiration from masseries, Italian farmhouses of the past.
The masseria is set in the heart of the Puglia countryside, near beautiful beaches like Torre Guacetto, just 12 km away. The lovely towns of Cisternino, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Lecce, & Polignano al Mare are all within short driving distance. On a side note, in Polignano a Mare is located the BEEAAAUTIFUL ristorante Grotta Palazzese , a must-go when in Puglia.
The 6 room intimate farmhouse is set around a central courtyard with its views to the sea. Every room has either a private garden or a private terrace looking out across the fields. During the night, wrap yourself in luxury linens for a natural yet sophisticated living experience, and just enjoy the view.
As a tradicional farmhouse, you will only find natural & organic amenities, and food grown in house or bought from local farmers and artisans, the dream! Breakfast includes fresh smoothies made with in-season fruit, eggs from the farm's chickens, bread with their own stone-pressed olive oil and jams prepared in the kitchen during winter time. For dinner, share with the other guests at the communal table (they encourage the kinship of community, Italian style) vegetables grown in the farm, along with fish taken each morning from the sea.
