Postcards from Vietnam

As an Australian, your first time in Asia, should be a special one. Out of all the destinations I could have chosen, such as Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Hong Kong - Vietnam was the place that really pulled me in. With it’s rich revolutionary society and Chinese-influenced philosophy art, abundant tropical plains, traditional and incredibly fresh food and ingredients - Vietnam has one of the fastest growing economies on the planet.

Flying into the crazy capital of Hanoi in one week we were lucky and felt intrepid enough to cross Vietnam with little to no knowledge, spending dong after dong (the vietnamese currency) for all the things the Vietnamese can offer that we desired, namely, tropical fruits, papaya salad, scooters and tailor-made linen ensembles.

Below are my musings from the country, to the coast, to the city - Tam Coc - An Bang Beach - Hanoi.
