The Hoxton, DTLA

Book now

The Hoxton, Downtown LA is a vibrant and welcoming hotel that breathes new life into the former Los Angeles Railway Building. This striking, 10-story Beaux Arts structure was originally built in 1922 and has since been home to a garment manufacturer, candy shop, and more. Today, the hotel offers guests 174 bedrooms, lively communal spaces, and distinct drinking and dining destinations in partnership with Boka Restaurant Group. Guests and locals are invited to dive into the rooftop pool, set against views of the LA skyline.

BEDROOMS

The 174 bedrooms, designed by Ennismore Design Studio, are divided into four categories: Snug, Cosy, Roomy, and Biggy. The Beaux Arts architecture of the building and its environs had a big impact on the bedroom design. There are large windows in every room to let in that glorious California sunshine.

The burl wood, chevron flooring, and wall paneling all reflect French design concepts, while the handmade bathroom tiles and rug designs pay homage to Mexico. The entire book is filled with decorative accents, such as East London artisan pottery, vintage telephones, Marshall radios, and local artwork. Bolder patterns, as well as the colors of the furniture and accessories, break up the light and airy color scheme of the bedrooms.

Every bedroom comes with the usual Hox perks found throughout the brand, including WiFi, a mini-fridge with free fresh milk and water, tea and coffee, and one hour of free calls to anywhere in the world. For those who are constantly on the move, a daily breakfast bag can be brought to the room. There are beers, wines, and a variety of sweet and savory foods available for purchase at the reception desk's Hox Shop.
